In order to allow worm gear screwjacks to carry our swivelling and tipping movements, the drive elements must be secured at two points and permitted to move - here's where this swivel mounting base from Pfaff Silberblau comes in handy.
This type of movement can be achieved using a swivelling bearing and a head IV or articulated head, or by means of a swivel-lug configuration. The lateral force resulting from the swivelling motion should be minimised as much as possible by means of low-friction artiuclations.
